After TCP/UDP communication connected between Four Faith 4G Modem and server, it can achieve two ways data transparent communication, it is equal to the local data collecting by monitoring software, to check and monitor UPS processing condition real time, to conduct regular maintenance inspecting.

System Form

The whole UPS remote monitoring program system is built up by three parts: fore-end UPS, communication device,remote monitoring program centre.

UPS  Fore-end UPS

UPS has been becoming the indispensable importance equipment in the machine room, as the final backup to ensure the computer system power supply, the working availability and reliability of UPS is going to be the new hidden danger in information safety! So it is necessary to do the real time monitoring to each UPS in the machine room, the monitoring include UPS input voltage, current, frequency, output voltage, current, load, battery voltage, UPS status, UPS alarming condition etc. UPS status include regular working,bypass working, battery power supply etc. UPS alarming include rectification breakdown, contravariant breakdown, battery breakdown etc. It is mainly monitoring based on the UPS protocol.

Communication Device

Communication device is using Xiamen Four Faith IP Modem, it is mainly use the operator network to achieve the communication between the fore-end equipment and remote monitoring program centre.When 4G LTE Modem is power on, it will start reading the working parameter storing inside the FLASH, and having PPP dialing according to parameter. After successfully dialing, IP Modem will obtain the inside IP address randomly offered by operator(usually 10.X.X.X), normally this address is not fix. Then IP Modem will actively start the communication connection to the data centre, and keep the communication connection working all the time. If the communication connection breakdown,GPRS IP Modem will immediately re-connect to data centre. Since IP Modem is actively connecting to data centre,it will require the data centre to have the fix public IP address or fix domain.After the successful TCP/UDP communication connecting, it can achieve the two sides data communication between port and network.

Remote Monitoring Program Centre

Remote monitoring program centre is for manager to conveniently conduct the managing functions to UPS like real time status checking, basic information management, remote handling control, setting up of different parameters,user management etc. Monitoring software will be showing UPS input & output voltage, load condition, battery capacity,  inside temperature,electric supply frequency and UPS basic information and working status as graphic or data. It will send the alarming report to remind the on-duty person if UPS is not in the normal condition(electric supply interruption or UPS breakdown etc). The system could take curve recording for some UPS important processing parameters and can save more than 1 year. The curve can offer the convenient position checking line, it will show the detail parameter value, Max,Min,average etc, convenient for the manager to fully know the processing condition of UPS, timely to find out, prevent or solve different problems during the processing of UPS. Monitoring software could set up authority for each user in advance,limiting that only allowed handling by network manager with specific address and password.
